What is the name of the photographer based out of San Diego who takes tasteful photos of real lesbian couples? Does anyone know? She's not huge, but she's got a following of sorts. |
I think I've seen her on "Secret Lives of Women." I can't for the life of me remember her name off hand (I saw the show like a year ago) but I'll look up the official show website and see if I can find it. If I do I'll post a link.
EDIT (Ghetto Granny): welcome to my block list. |
So How do my partner and I get other lesbian couples our age to be friends? I am 35 and my partner is 30. We have tried being friends with other lesbian couples but it always seams to end up in disaster. They are either into drugs or drama. or they start hitting on my partner or me and want to have sex with us. We are NOT into that. Were are all the REAL lesbian couples, who want JUST FRIENDSHIP! |
I am a 28 year old lesbian in Seattle and I agree, it can be a tricky thing to make drama-free friends. Some of this may depend upon where you live, but here are a few things that have worked for my partner and I:
Stay away from gay bars. At least initially. If you meet a couple and you all want to go out for drinks, that's one thing, but meeting people in bars to begin with just seems to be bad news. There's something about drama and craziness that is drawn to low-lighting and alcohol. I recommend other places such as bookstores, poetry readings, women's only nature events, etc.
Check out the local GLBT center in your area. Odds are there will be a potluck or other social event for lesbian couples.
Just do things you're interested in. For instance, bird watching or even classes at a community college. The fact is, lesbians are everywhere and meeting them at something like this ensures you already have something in common and a neutral, non-threatening, non-sexualized, drama-free environment to start from.
The other thing that I would HIGHLY recommend is working on your own personal relationship skills. By "relationship" I mean how you and your partner relate to others. Make sure you're practiced and comfortable with setting clear and firm boundaries with others. You may not mention that it's rude to hit on someone else's mate in the first five minutes of your conversation with someone, but you need to be sure that you're able (mentally and emotionally) to lay that boundary down should someone's behavior begin to seem shady. Once you've established that firm boundary, they may just back off and you'll be able to go on with your friendship. Not everyone is monogamous these days, so they may genuinely not know the status of your relationship and it's ok to politely and tactfully set them straight, so to speak. But if they still don't respect it even after you've set that boundary, forget them.
Good luck! |

Why most lesbian couples are one feminine and one masculine, why the feminine wont get a real man instead? why the feminine wont get a real man instead of a butch one; if the feminine one likes masculinity, why doesn't she get a real man instead of a super masculine woman; the real man is more masculine and in better shape. |
I have seen plenty of relationships with two masculine and two feminine partners.
If someone is truly gay (instead of this odd 'Fad gay' that I am seeing with a lot of younger people) they literally can't feel a sexual attraction to someone of another sex. |
Gays and lesbian couples corrupt little guys by turning them gay too? okay so i hear many people complaining how when gays and lesbians adopt guys, they become the same way too because of influence. when they grow up, they will marry the same gender.
but i told them that that doesn't make sense b/c how can straight people have gay/lesbian guyren.
so the real question is have you seen any lesbian and gay couples that adopt guys and the guys were straight and married the opposite gender? |
| I have many straight friends that were raised by gay parents. I have seen many straight parents raise gay guys. I have seen it all. people that argue this are just full of hate and is afraid of change. |
Have you ever seen a real hot lesbian couple? It seems that hot lesbians are only in porn. All real lesbians are ugly. Come on proove me wrong. |
I don't think it sounds silly. I've wondered that myself. I mean the gals on porn as getting paid and pumped up with drugs just so they can get the job done.
But in the REAL world.......i really havent seen a HOT lesbian couple. Do they make 'em? |
Why do lesbian couples have one masculine person? If lesbians like girls, why must one of them be masculine? The one who is with the masculine person should just be with a male. Is it just a cliche and now all couples feel that one of them must be masculine? I'm not being condescending. I'm serious. And why would they use a ____. Why not a man with the real thing? |
I think the same thing.
Why be lesbian if you are going to be with someone is dresses and acts like a man.
It confuses me because I would think that if you love women and you want to love women physically, the part of women you love and enjoy is their feminity. Acting like a man, and dressing like one is just not feminine, obviously.
They might use a ____ because ______ last longer than men do. (I am just being honest) |
Are there any lesbian couples who have gotten pregnant using a sperm donor? me and my gf have talked for hours on this subject and would love to find out more and hear some stories of successful attempts or unsuccessful ones. Either way could you email me or perhaps give me a link to a site where i can find out more on the subject and read about real accounts.
Many thanks

Our friends did this and have a baby girl.
However she did have sex with the man to make it happen; others use a turkey baster.
Just ask a male mate he will help you. |
Why do lesbian couples usually consist of at least one extremely butch (manly) woman? I don't understand it, I am bisexual, and although my soulmate has turned out to be male, I am still attracted to females, and am just a little confused as to why some lesbian couples seem not to care at all about their appearance. I can understand not needing to dress up, or make themselves look sexy to men...but what about another woman? Are there women out there, in a homosexual relationship, that are actually attracted to a woman who shaves her head, but refuses to shave anywhere else, and wears plaid shirts, and baggy trousers? I suppose I am a little clueless, but as I said, I am bisexual, and am highly attracted to women. Well, most women. The shaven head look is just not appealing to me...or even the very very short haired look...Maybe my real question should be: Why do some women who are lesbian, choose to be with a woman who tries to look like a man? |
| It may be the case that they cant get a real man, because of a lack of confidence, etc. |
