| Why have nude art on the web? (Please only leave mature comments)? I know I'm 13, but I don't understand why pictures of nude men and women are allowed on the web. I think the human body is a beautiful piece of artwork, but most boys of my age level think of it just as getting to look at breasts. I understand them being on art sites, where you get to get inspired and see artwork such as photographs, drawings, digital art, paintings, etc. but not where people of the same/opposite gender may gawk at a picture of a nude person. I also don't understand why Model Mayhem is allowed to everyone, why not just to adults or more mature people? | If they're 8 and they have already been taught that nudity is a sin or is somehow bad, they'll probably be negatively affected. If they live in a household where the body is just that: A body, they'll be okay. If a guy grows up not associating naked people with sex and evil and violence, they'll be unaffected. If they grow up around nudity, they'll be more comfortable in their own skin, they'll be very well-adjusted, and they'll be confident and productive members of society. When you make nudity = sex, that's when the problems start. |
| Why are women so catty? So I've noticed a few things about some women (not all) which I don't understand. First off, I want to start off by saying that I am a guy (22) so maybe you can write my age off and note it with a lack of experience, but there's something I've noticed in women a lot lately. I have a few female friends and I noticed whenever there is an attractive woman in entertainment (i.e. Jennifer Aniston), they seem quick to harshly judge her. One comment was about how pathetic she was by posing partially nude on a magazine cover. They also have a tendency to call pretty attractive women "plain looking" or "overrated." Some that come to mind are Jennifer Aniston, Megan Fox, Scarlett Johannsen, Giselle Bundschen, etc... Yet it seems they root for the more unattractive women like Drew Barrymore. Is this jealousy or what? I also notice when a guy comment's on a woman's looks, he gets berrated yet whenever McDreamy is mentioned, they go ga-ga. Another thing was one of my female friends got rejected by a guy and she was talking about how "he couldn't handle a mature woman and it's his loss. He just wants whatever is easy." The funny thing is this girl is definitely not attractive and the guy definitely chose a better option, yet all the women sneered that this guy was a jerk and wasn't good enough for her. My friend was so completely disillusioned it was sickening. If a guy gets rejected by a girl, big whoop. He doesn't cry about it and he certainly doesn't relegate rejection to "I'm too good for her." Of course, I've only seen this in a few instances in women but I've never seen this in men. Another thing I noticed is when I brought this up casually to a group of friends, the girls were quick to note how shallow men were. But, these same girls had: high heels (really ain't that tall or your legs really aren't that thin) padded bras (boobs ain't really that big) makeup (skin aint that's good) fake eyelashes fake n bake Everything about them was fake, yet I was classified as the shallow one. Is this all due to a heightened insecurity in women or is this just due to a lack of thought in men? Some guys I admit are jerks and have juvenile personalities, but their simple and what's on the surface is what you'll mostly get. |

| What do I do about these nude pictures of me/Help? When I was 15, I was naive and took nude pictures of myself. I had a MySpace account and a lot of older men would talk to me. I sent them to one man in particular that has been sending me messages for the past 6 years. | Hello friend. First of all, I only offer my point of view on your situation to try and help, though I may not be right. To begin, I think it is unfortunate to have an unesessary outburst regarding sex in a relationship. Not to sound cleche or sappy, but making love amongst couples is something that should be charished and appreciated by both parties, and not to take as a novelty or for granted. Unfortunately, men tend to do that. Now, to share a personal experience in order to give you an idea of how immature men can be, mine was at 18. I would have the same reactions to my selabate girlfriend at the time, arguing that she started something and never wanted to finish, out of fear that she may 'go against the grain' and dissapoint her mother's wishes and the idea of selebacy, when she truly wanted to share that experience with me. (How rude and stupid is that?) I'll openly admit what a stupid mistake I made and how immature it was of me to make her feel bad about her choices. I was just frustrated and immature, and didn't realize how insensative I was being towards her wishes. I feel your husband is doing the same thing. He just wants to have his cake and eat it too, by his terms. The problem is, friend, that men often see it as plain'old sex and not love making. I apologize for making it sound so crude, but unfortunately, that's the reality of it. As a woman, I feel he shoudl respect you a little bit more and make an effort to, at the least, attempt to court you into sharing the moment when it's appropriate, and WITH TIME!
